A number of years ago I was asked to bid on installing a stairway in a home in the Baton Rouge area. When I drove out to look at the home I saw that it actually had two stairways. They wanted two installers working concurrently on both staircases. I certainly didn’t have a problem with that. After my bid was accepted I began to work on my staircase and met the other installer and his helper. I discovered that he was indeed more experienced than I on stair construction. Among the advice he gave me was a stair guide that he referenced on his stairway installations. The guide was published by Coffman Stair Manufacturing. All I can say is that it shortened my installation time and helped with the accuracy of my cuts. I’ve been recommending it ever since. You can find it below with the guide from Crown Heritage as well.
